Abstract

The main problem in this study is low employee performance, according to the observations of researchers caused by employee motivation and discipline that is not optimal. Based on thoughts and considerations, researchers intend to investigate further in the form of a thesis research entitled "The Effect of Discipline and Work Motivation on the Performance of West Bandung Regency Education Office Employees".

The research approach uses quantitative research using an explanatory survey method, which is a method that aims to test the research hypotheses that have been formulated previously. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistical techniques that function to group data, work on, conclude, explain and present the processed results. It aims to make a pattern of cause and effect relationships between the value of a variable with other variables. The population, as well as the sample in this study, amounted to 95 people. Data collected through questionnaires, scale measurements using a Likert scale. Analysis in data processing using multiple linear regression analysis.

The conclusion in this study is that Employee Discipline and Motivation empirically influences the Performance of Employees in the West Bandung Regency Education Office, both partially and simultaneously. The results also found that performance is influenced by other factors that are academically recognized.
